There is a simplified visa procedure for the citizens of the following countries:

• Austria
• Belgium
• Britain
• Germany
• Spain
• Italy
• Latvia
• Malaysia
• France
• Switzerland
• Japan

Tourists from these countries are issued multiple entry visas up to 1 month, and the business visa – up to 1 year (Malaysia – up to 6 months). It does not require Letter of Invitation from inviting party in Uzbekistan at Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Visas are issued within 2 working days, excluding the day of receiving the documents. Note* LOI may be required, if citizens of above mentioned countries obtain Uzbekistan Visa outside of their country of citizenship. Before obtaining visa outside the country, please, contact in advance Uzbekistan Embassy or Consulate, where they are planning to obtain their tourist visa, for the latest requirements.

Visas for the citizens of the countries which are not mentioned above list are issued in diplomatic missions and consular offices of the Republic of Uzbekistan abroad on the basis of visa support –LOI (confirmation of the Ministry of Foreign A of the Republic of Uzbekistan).

LOI is issued by inviting party permanently or temporarily residing in Uzbekistan by submitting required documents to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Duration of Consideration of applications in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is from 3 to 15 working days.

To obtain a visa needs to submit to the diplomatic or consular mission of Uzbekistan abroad the following documents:

1. Valid passport
2. Completed application form
3. 2 Color Passport-size photographs.
4. Fee, payable on collection of visa.
5. Stamped, self-addressed envelope, if applying by post.
6. Confirmation of hotel reservation and details of stay.

Foreign nationals and stateless persons intending to come to Uzbekistan from a country where there is no diplomatic or consular mission of Uzbekistan can get visas upon arrival at the “Tashkent” at visa provision sector of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan at the international airport. To this end, inviting party in the territory of Uzbekistan, should apply in advance to the established order in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, get a confirmation (stamp) visa department of the Consular Department and send it to the invited person. This confirmation shall be presented at the invited person purchasing the ticket, passport control in the host country, and on its basis it is issued a visa on arrival in the sector of visa provided by MOFA of the Republic of Uzbekistan at the international airport “Tashkent”.

If you are traveling through Uzbekistan to another country, you need to have a transit visa to Uzbekistan. In order to obtain a transit visa, the following documents must be submitted:

• A printout of completed visa application form
• valid passport (not a photo copy)
• one passport-size color picture
• valid visa to the country of destination
• confirmed round-trip airplane ticket
• visa fee

To obtain a business visa to Uzbekistan, you need your hosting organization (business partner, company, etc.) process an invitation letter through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Tashkent. In order to obtain business visa for travel to Uzbekistan, the following documents must be submitted:

• A printout of completed visa application form;
• valid passport;
• one passport-size picture.

For registration and issuance of visa legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan has set the following consular fees:

• – Up to 7 days – $ 40;
• – Up to 15 days – $ 50;
• – Up to 30 days – $ 60;
• – Up to 3 months – $ 80;
• – Up to 6 months – $ 120;
• – Up to 1 year – 160 US dollars.

Note: for each additional entry tariff increases on 10 US dollars.

• – Up to 6 months – $ 150;
• – Up to 1 year – 250 US dollars.

• – Up to 24 hours – 20 US dollars;
• – Up to 48 hours – $ 25;
• – Up to 72 hours – 30 US dollars;
• – For double entry transit visa – 40 US dollars.

• – Up to 15 days – $ 15 per person;
• – Up to 30 days – $ 25 per person.

NOTE*: In most cases visa fee depends on the period of stay and number of entries. Visa fees are subject to change without a notice.
